The Keokuk Area Community Foundation Scholarship Program recognizes student achievements and supports deserving students. Thanks to our family of donors, we have annual scholarships to provide funding to Tri-State Area students and working adults. The Delbert and Edythe Barnes Memorial Scholarship

The Delbert and Edythe Barnes Scholarship Fund was established for students who have graduated or will be graduating (those attending their senior year of high school) from any Lee County, Hancock County or Clark County School District. General Education Diploma (GED) students are also eligible to apply for The Delbert and Edythe Barnes Memorial Scholarship. Scholarship recipients must attend or be enrolled at Southeastern Community College with the intention of matriculating and receiving a degree as noted in the current edition of the College Handbook in the area of the Construction & Manufacturing.  APPLY HERE!

Scholarship Amounts: Up to $1,000.00 each year for 2 years

Leaders of Southeast Iowa Foundation Scholarship

Established in 2021, The Leaders of Southeast Iowa Foundation Scholarship Fund will award $1,000.00 in scholarships annually to Lee County, Hancock County and Clark County students.

To be eligible, applicants must meet these criteria:

  • The student must be as a resident of Lee County, Hancock County or Clark County. Students must be in the Top 25% of their graduating class at their high school.

  • A Leaders of Southeast Iowa Foundation Scholarship recipient(s) must attend or be enrolled in an Iowa, Illinois or Missouri college or university upon high school graduation.

Scholarship Amount: $1,000.00 (non-renewable)

Application OPENS: February 1, 2022

Application CLOSES: May 6, 2022

The Matteson Scholarship

The Matteson Scholarship is a partnership scholarship between the Keokuk Area Community Foundation and the North Lee County Community Foundation. The Matteson Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors, as well as, continuing education students pursuing studies in agriculture, construction, health/medical sciences, nursing, engineering, information technology or trades. Scholarship Amounts: Up to $2,000.00 a year for the first two years and then up to $4,000.00 for years three and four.

The Peggy Dickey Memorial Scholarship

The Peggy Dickey Memorial Scholarship was established for graduating seniors from any Keokuk Iowa High School or home-schooled equivalent student. The student must be a resident of Keokuk Iowa. A Peggy Dickey Memorial Scholarship recipient (s) must attend or be enrolled in an Iowa college or university upon high school graduation or completion of home schooled equivalent. APPLY HERE!

Scholarship Amount: Up to $2,500.00 (non-renewable)
